Mandat

The following mandate is common to all NORSOK Expert Groups:

 

The primary task of the expert groups is to meet the petroleum industry's needs for the development of standards and standardization within their field of expertise. The expert groups shall coordinate activities within their field of expertise, both international activities and national (NORSOK). They are responsible for ensuring that the overall strategy approved by the Sector Board is met through the implementation of the adopted work program. The expert groups shall also be an relevant professional meeting place, where expertise and experience are shared.
