When: 2 March, 1300-1400 CET
Where: Digital on Teams

Join this open consultation meeting for a first look at the Draft International Standards (DIS) ISO 29501 Operating management systems — Requirements with guidance for use and ISO 29502 Operating management systems — Conformity assessment guidelines and criteria. Both drafts are published for the ISO enquiry (ballot) stage, and stakeholders across the value chain are invited to provide input through your national standards bodies.

Why this matters

  • ISO/DIS 29501 proposes a requirements‑based framework (with guidance) for operating management systems tailored to the context and risks of oil & gas and lower‑carbon energy activities under ISO/TC 67.
  • ISO/DIS 29502 complements it with conformity assessment guidelines and criteria, including use cases spanning self‑assessment, second‑party and third‑party assessments.

Both drafts are currently in the 12-week DIS ballot phase, during which comments from national member bodies are formally collected.

What will you learn

At the public consultation meeting, you will learn more about what is new in the draft standards and how to effectively submit comments through your national standards body during the DIS ballot period.
