NORSOK E-001 is considered for revision

The NORSOK standard on Electrical systems is undergoing a systematic review to ensure the quality of the standard. We invite the industry to give feedback by 1 August on whether the standard should be revised, withdrawn, or confirmed as is.

The current version of NORSOK E-001 was published in 2016. To ensure that the standard holds sufficient quality, it is important to assess the need for revision on a regular basis.

If the conclusion is to revise the standard, input from users on topics that need corrections, additions, or revisions are highly valuable. This includes:

  • User experience – does the standard require any adjustments?
  • Are there new methods or new technology that should be mentioned or incorporated into the standard?
  • Are there other relevant standards or legal requirements that should be included in the standard?

Comments will be used as input to the potential revision process.

We ask the industry to nominate candidates to participate in the potential revision process.
