Seminar - AI and Standards - Building a Trusted Future for Europe
Standards Norway hosted a seminar on 14 May 2025 on artificial intelligence (AI), the development of new European standards, and how this will shape the future of AI in Europe. The Norwegian Minister of Digitalisation delivered the opening address, and here you can watch the recording and download the presentations.
The event gathered key stakeholders, including representatives from the European Commission, Norwegian authorities, and experts from across Europe and the Nordic region. Minister of Digitalisation and Public Administration, Karianne Oldernes Tung, opened the seminar.
The seminar was held in conjunction with meetings of the European standardisation committee for artificial intelligence. This committee is working on the development of harmonised standards to support the implementation of the EU’s AI Regulation (AI Act).
