NORSOK D-010 is considered for revision

The NORSOK standard for well integrity in drilling and well operations is undergoing a systematic review to ensure the quality of the standard. We invite the industry to give feedback on whether the standard should be confirmed as is, or if it should be revised.

The current version of NORSOK D-010:2021+AC2:2021 was published in 2021. To ensure that the standard holds sufficient quality, it is important to assess the need for revision on a regular basis. Standards Norway are now requesting feedback from the users of the standard, on whether it should be revised, withdrawn, or confirmed as is.

If the conclusion is to revise the standard, input from users on topics that need corrections, additions, or revisions are highly valuable.
This includes:

  • User experience - Does the standard require any adjustments?
  • Are there new methods or new technology that should be mentioned or incorporated into the standard?
  • Are there other relevant standards or legal requirements that should be included in the standard?

We also ask the industry to nominate candidates to participate in the potential revision process.
