The purpose of the Digital Reading Room for Standards is to make the content of specific harmonized European standards (national adoption) available for European public access. The present access to the standards is granted under applicable legal frameworks. Please note that these frameworks can change and may impact your access.
Terms and Conditions for Use of Digital Reading Room for Standards

1. General
These terms and conditions for use apply to the Digital Reading Room for Standards, a portal for read-only access to national adoptions of specific harmonized European standards for European public access.- The terms apply between you who use the portal and Standard Online AS (supplier). By registering and reading standards through this portal, users agree to comply with these terms regarding handling, usage limitations, and copyright of the content.

User:
The person registered for access to the Digital Reading Room for Standards and referred to in the following as “user” or “you”.
3. Responsibility for errors in standards
All of our deliveries are based on a digital original, displayed as html or in PDF format. All efforts have been made to ensure that the PDF files are in accordance with Adobe’s specifications. We cannot assume responsibility if they do not display on the user's equipment. We provide products produced by others and assumes no responsibility for the content of the standards. Nor are we responsible for deficiencies and costs that may arise as a result of using the standards.
4. Personal Data
In principle, only necessary information related to granting reading access to the standards in this portal is processed to fulfil our obligations to the user. Personal data may be used to send you information relevant to your use of the portal or the standards you access. Personal information is kept confidential and never shared with third parties. Individuals whose personal data is processed may request access, correction, or deletion of information by contacting salg@standard.no.
5. Copyright
CEN and CENELEC Standards documents, their national adoptions and other technical related deliverables and publications available on this portal are covered and protected by copyright.
The present access to national adoptions of harmonized European standards is granted for direct information of the registered user only and under read-only format, without any right to especially download, print, commercialize, reproduce, make available or distribute the documents in any way whatsoever, except if authorised by law (e.g. via a copyright exception). We reserve all rights concerning text and data mining.
Such access is granted without prejudice to any existing rights of the rightsholders of these documents which are hereby withheld, and to any rules on copyright which may limit a third party's right to reproduce or exploit the standards.
6. Disputes
The parties will endeavour to resolve disputes amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, Oslo District Court shall be the legal venue.

This privacy statement explains how this portal, "Digital reading room for standards", collects and uses personal data. When you use this portal, we will process personal data about you. Here you will find information about the personal data we collect, why we do this and your rights related to the processing of the personal data.
The responsible party for the personal data we process is the Managing Director of Standard Online AS.

To exercise your rights, you must contact Standard Online. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible, and within no more than 30 days.
We will ask you to confirm your identity or provide further information before we allow you to exercise your rights in regard to us. We do this to ensure that we only grant access to your personal data to you, and not someone who is pretending to be you.
You may withdraw your consent for the handling of personal data by us at any time. The easiest way to do this is to contact us.
Complaints

Changes
Should there be a change to our services or changes to the regulations on the processing of personal data, this may result in changes to the information in this text. If we have your contact details, we will make you aware of these changes.
