NORSOK Z-006 was last published in 2015 and has now gone through a full revision. The revision ensures that the standard keeps up with technical development and gained experience in the industry. This maintains a high level of quality to the standard.

Main changes

These are the main changes to the standard:

  • The format of the standard has been updated. The reorganization of the document now mirrors the workflow of preservation, monitoring, and execution.
  • Each discipline is outlined with requirements based on extensive oil and gas industry experience, offering clearer insights into the rationale behind the standard.
  • Checklists and records have been revised and, where applicable, combined for easier use.
