NORSOK P-002 is considered for revision
NORSOK P-002 for Process system design is considered for review to ensure the quality of the standard. Standards Norway invite the industry to give feedback on whether the standard should be revised, as well as improvement proposals which will be considered, if it is decided to revise the standard. All input must be submitted by 20 May.
NORSOK P-002 covers all process, process support and utility systems and provides provisions for aspects of topside process piping and equipment design on offshore production facilities such as:
- design pressure and temperature
- process safety system design
- line sizing
- system and equipment isolation
- insulation and heat tracing
Additionally, NORSOK P-002 defines the minimum functional requirements for process systems on an offshore installation. The standard includes a number of recommendations to give additional guidance for the system design.
Give your feedback
If it is decided to revise the standard, we need input on what should be improved, added, or clarified in the current edition, based on user experience from the industry.
The improvement proposals can be submitted through the form below and will be used as input in the potential revision process. We also ask the industry to nominate candidates to participate in the revision process, if revision is decided.
